REGISTRATION: Registration dates, times and fees vary according to program. Requirements and information for each class are outlined below.

PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years on the instrument, or, two (2) years with teacher’s recommendation
  • Very good music reading skills, including moderate to difficult sixteenth note rhythms
  • Ability to play music ranging in difficulty from Grade 4 through Grade 5
  • Positive attitude
  • Attend all rehearsals and performances
  • Willing to prepare (practice) music between rehearsals
  • Private lessons are strongly recommended for all members
  • Woodwind, brass and percussion players must be members of their respective school symphonic or concert band
  • Students up to grade 12 will be accepted
  • Must pass audition*

First rehearsal: Saturday, September 3rd, 9:00am - 11:10am
Location: H.P. Baldwin High School Band Room
Tuition for 2011-2012 Season: $310 ($150 deposit, $20 monthly, September through April)

SINFONIETTA

Requirements:
  • Minimum of two (2) years on the instrument
  • Good music reading skills, including eighth and simpler sixteenth note rhythms
  • Ability to play music ranging in difficulty from Grade 2 through Grade 3.5
  • Positive attitude
  • Attend all rehearsals and performances
  • Willing to prepare (practice) music between rehearsals
  • Private lessons are strongly recommended for all students
  • Woodwind, brass and percussion players must be members of their respective school 8th grade band
  • Students up to grade 12 will be accepted
  • Must pass audition*
